The public has been duped for decades over the likes of this Plasticine \u2013 oh did I mean Margarine? Honestly, it\u2019s so Plastic in makeup, and so are it\u2019s <strong><em>Fraudulent\u00a0Claims<\/em><\/strong>. Seriously speaking, please don\u2019t trust in this Scam any longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\">By Dr Al Sears Integrative Medicine Practitioner\/International Researcher<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">There\u2019s now another reason to\u00a0avoid\u00a0margarine. <strong><em>It can make you stupid<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">According to researchers at the University of Auckland,\u00a0children\u00a0who ate margarine every day had significantly lower\u00a0IQ\u00a0scores by the age of three-and-a-half than those who did not.<sub>1<\/sub><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">And\u00a0children\u00a0who were underweight at birth had scores that were even lower by the time they were seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The tragedy here is that margarine was sold to us as a \u201chealthier\u201d alternative to butter. <em><strong>In fact, it may be the unhealthiest \u201cfood\u201d ever created.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">You sure wouldn\u2019t\u00a0know\u00a0this by reading the labels. They have statements like \u201c100%\u00a0Natural\u201d and \u201cMother\u00a0Nature\u2019s Own\u201d and \u201cHeart\u00a0Healthy\u201d and the like all over them. <strong><em>But they are really nothing but chemical concoctions made in a laboratory<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The vegetable oils used in most margarine are hydrogenated to make them solid. This turns the oil into highly unhealthy trans-fatty acids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">These man-made fatty acids have been\u00a0shown\u00a0to raise \u201cbad\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.alsearsmd.com\/niacin-cholesterol\/\">cholesterol<\/a>\u00a0(LDL) and lower \u201cgood\u201d\u00a0cholesterol\u00a0(HDL). <strong><em>They have also been linked to inflammation, one of the major causes of heart disease<\/em><\/strong>.<sub>2<\/sub><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">I came across another gem of a\u00a0study\u00a0the other day. It\u2019s titled, \u201cMargarine Intake and Subsequent Coronary Heart Disease in Men.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">This\u00a0study\u00a0is backed up by the\u00a0world-famous Framingham Heart\u00a0Study. They tracked people for 20 years and recorded the number of heart attacks suffered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The results were eye-opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>As margarine consumption increased, heart attacks went up. As butter consumption increased, heart attacks declined<\/em><\/strong>.<sub>3<\/sub><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">And that\u2019s not all\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">During the second decade, the group eating the most margarine had 77%\u00a0more\u00a0heart attacks than the group eating none!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Avoiding margarine may not only make you smarter, <strong><em>it could prevent you from having a heart attack or stroke<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Butter is a much healthier choice. But don\u2019t settle for\u00a0just\u00a0any type of butter. <strong><em>I recommend\u00a0organic\u00a0butter from grass-fed cows.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>It contains short- and medium-chain fatty acids, which are easily converted to energy<\/em><\/strong>. <strong><em>This means that the fat in butter is less likely to be stored as fat in your body<\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Plus, it\u2019s packed with vitamins and essential nutrients your body needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">And here\u2019s a little tidbit you probably wouldn\u2019t\u00a0know: <strong><em>Butter contains\u00a0more\u00a0vitamin A than carrots<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">It also contains vitamin E and selenium.
